well yeah but for some people wrenching like that is too scary or they just don’t have the time. I know that I personally wouldnt want to do work like that on my DD, on the lexus sure but not on my secondary car
Word. Understandable. But no matter what car i ever own. If something breaks. I will fix it. Regardless if i have ever worked on something like that before. Unless of course it is under warranty.
I dont think the a8’s had issues with the trans. Think thats more a4/s4 territory
Word. Deff heard of a lot of the a4 trans eating shit. Not so much on the BIG BODIES
None of y’all can fuck widdis
This would be a second car anyway. No way am I trading a $42K+ sticker price truck for an 8 year old high mileage turd, lol.
I forgot about the A8L too, an S8 bumper swap, rimz, and a drop would look nice. Hmmm…maybe in the spring.
Porn industry treating you well, Jim?
I dunno, the newer style looks so much more baller.
Indeed. Wait…what?
Get these Alpina wheels then
Damn, I love how these look.
How difficult is the suspension to molest, or is it all electronic Shiz?
well if u can fit your D into the wheelwell, go at it. molesting really isnt all that hard. :facepalm
No idea on that one, but another car in that class to consider is the 03-06 S/CL/SL600, v12 twin turbs and they trap around 114-116 bone stock or mid 120s with an engine/tranny chip (like $11k for both, but you’d be doors with a fucking C6 Z in a fucking S clas :rofl).
A few choice pics, just realized I don’t have an SL600 or S600 pic folder, that’s an issue :lol :
This one is actually bone stock with just lowering links and a computer for the air ride
6-1 1/2 dozen to others between the A8L and the 7 series. maintennace costs and parts are all in the same price range. both have maintenance/repair stuff that requires specialty tools here and there. A8 has an edge that parts are often easier to get ahold of in a timely manner.
I’d personally get an A8 over the 7 series. Really comes down to what you can find in good condition between the two cars.
do want W12
Looked at a couple of those for winter rides… apparently all of them have power steering leaks and the interior electronics were a bit dysfunctional. But IMO they look SO much better than any new 7 series.
A 2001 740iL that has been dealer maintained (w/ records) is the only way to go for e38s in my opinion. The pre-face lift front ends suck and the 01s and some 00s were the only ones with painted lower trims.
yes I looked at some pre-facelift ones… the subtle differences on the 01s make them a lot nicer looking haha
Lots of PR rides ITT.
The M56xS or LS is my next car most likely.
