Never seen one of these? They’re a pita most of the time, but it’d be worth it.
I would highly recommend being humane and using large glue traps. I don’t even bother hunting deer with arrows/bullets anymore because I have a company make me glue traps that are the size of a drywall sheet.

Honestly, I’m for the flip the door knob around with the self closing latch combined with the web cam just in case. There would be nothing better than coming home to your neighbor trapped in your basement. lol

the problem with the “lock him in” idea; every door knob i’ve ever used either won’t turn if it’s locked, or unlocks itself when you turn it. so you would have to lock the knob, and then prop the door open so that he doesn’t have to turn the knob when he enters the house. but, as stated, you would need self closing hinges to make sure the door shuts. the whole thing is full of holes.
plus, you are betting on him not trying to break out somehow.
It would be so awesome if the neighbor was on here, saw this and just wore a disguise next time.
We have three door knobs at our house that can be locked but on the inside they still turn as if they were unlocked. They do not unlock when tuned. It sucks when you forget lol.
