boosted camaro = teh slow

your gonna have to do a lot of milkin to make that thing last good luck

i lowered my line pressure today a little bit to try to buy a little bit more time untill spring for when i can get a new one…

and how did that affect performance?

he needs a 4l60e, i wouldnt go backwards to a 700r4, i would stick with the 4l60e

at this point I dont care about performance…i just need to use it as my daily driver untill spring to get a new tranny and some other goodies.

i mean did it still have a case of the “hiccups”?

Don’t mod a DD. You people drop thousands into mods but can’t afford a DD? You can get some POS Honda for a few K and never have to worry about having issues with your car and getting to work, play, etc…

little bit better…but it still wont go anywhere if i mash the throttle.

…ya. Im fully aware of this. I just turned 21 and my job is seasonal so i dont work during the winter. I have a $23k race quad sitting in my garage that I bought in late fall…didnt have the money this year to pick up a DD…in spring tho im looking for a lightening for my DD since I only have like 6 more payments on the camaro.

I have a 4L60E that I would be willing to part with if I ever get my 6 speed swap. Come spring hopefully it will be in the corner of the garage instead of under my car

your 4L60E is NO different from mine besides the bell housing bolt pattern. Same internals and everything as a LT1, LS1 A4’s…which means, I would tear it ti shreds in a few months.

Understandable. I just see a lot of people with a ton of mods yet can’t seem to find a $1-2K DD which would benefit them greatly.

actually ya could take and get that one rebuilt because i think in 97 they went to a removable bell so ya could switch em if ya needed to

ha too bad we couldnt change this thread title since you both know my car aint that slow anymore :runaway

nah, i say leave it… its more fun that way

it makes trav feel fast :crackup

I know my trans is the same. I just figured if you needed one it may come of use. Not as an upgrade. You could get a stocker and have it built.

yah I think im prolly gonna buy a stock. high mileage used one for dirt cheap and have it built with a nice torque converter, shift kit and huge tranny cooler.

:nod

when does your turbo start spooling hard? your stall should probably be just shy of that so you can get off the line nnice and quick :thumb
