Locked right up?
Do you have abs?
Did you do rr, lr, fr, fl? Still the fronts locking up would be a problem with the master…
It locked right after the first brake.
I don’t have abs.
First i blew the master cylinder and then the wheel (rr, lr, fr, fl)
how can i blew the booster and master at the same time?
You need to check how free the piston travel is on the wheel that locked.
If you cant move it with a pair of large channel locks, chances are that you have a seized up caliper. (Although even with good calipers it may be difficult to move with large channel locks, if you are having trouble telling, take it to a shop or someone who knows their way around a brake system)
It would probably be easiest to buy a used OEM caliper from someone on the forums who has upgraded if that is your problem.
Usually air locked in the hydraulic system of the brakes will cause your pedal to feel very poor and only engage the brakes when your foot is all the way to the floor if at all. Obviously your brakes are working, and working too well. So an airlock in the system is an unlikely reason for your piston to stop moving unless you have a collapsed flex hose.
Without looking at it and going on your brief description it sounds like a seized caliper.
If you require help let me know, I have a shop located in east GTA (Ajax)
I don’t think it’s my calipers seized. Both front caliper was locked after the first brake. But it was free move right after i blew the air.
Maybe sompthing was installed wrong when you put the booster and MC back on. Its hard to say this is not a common problem. I agree with shift-swo_d take it to a shop so some one can look at it visaly.
I can’t even drive my car. The brake lock so tight. And i don’t want to spend money to tow it.
There is a rubber hose connect to the brake booster. Does anyone know what’s that? Do i have to release the air or something?
its what makes the brake booster opperate. (vacume line) you need that hooked up. I have not tryed driving with out it befor… You should ask ADAM red ka24et with ORF. He took his booster of compleatly and just uses his master. He might konw the problem.
do you have the check valve on the brake booster line ?
im not sure whether it would cause the breaks to lock up without one ?
problem solved. I have to readjust the booster. Thanks for any help.
