Brake Pads

I think I need some brake pads. Last summer, my car only lasted around 6 or 7 laps at Dunnville before the brakes overheated and barely slowed the car down.

I need someone knowledgeable to recommend some race quality pads for my stock brakes. I prefer to have an extremely aggressive pad since I don’t mind swapping the pads in at the track and throwing on the stock pads when I’m done. Excessive noise or brake dust doesn’t matter as long as they last as long as possible. I have been told that Hawk HP plus is a good option but I want to hear some other opinions. And please don’t tell me to do a z brake upgrade or anything cause I’m too poor for that right now. Maybe next year lol. Thanks.

Hey Ram,

HP+ front / rear with some track only rotors would be a good option.

There are also quite a few other companies who make agressive pads but its all about personal preferance and availiblity. EBC Red or Yellow is also an option to test out.

Also don’t forget to replace the brake fluid with something a little better. Whether it be DOT5 a good DOT3 or go crazy with some RBF600.

All these things will help your car stop better and last longer on the track.
