brake rotor rust

is there anyway to slow down brake rotor rust other than driving your car everyday? i let my car sit for a day and my rotors have rusted over. when i drive off i can feel and hear my brakes grinding the rust off. cant be good for my pads eh? anything i can do or must i “exercize” my brakes everyday?

Theres really nothing you can do about the part where the pad touches.

For everything else paint it with Caliper Paint that will help alot.

About the rotor rusting over night those must be cheap rotors.

I have Nissan Rotors and they take at least a week to rust.

I have Brembo rotors up front and they don’t rust. The POS PB rotors I have out back are covered in rust. Any good quality rotors should stand up pretty well. Buy Brembo, Power Slot, AP, Willwood etc. and you should be fine.

bahh let them rust …they only last a few races anyway  mine are always rusted…in fact my brake pads rip off so much rotor that the side of my car and rims has “dust rust” everywhere from the rotors

its normal…they are cast iron
