Do you guys know what the purpose of the brake rotor shroud is?
Would it hurt the performance or safety of the car if I removed it or trimmed it?

its there to sheild the rotor from crap flying up into ur brakes… its good to have… but not 100% necessary… mine were rusted to hell, so i just ripped them off before they flew off and killed someone.
i did the same on my fronts. Damn clanging was peeing me off. U will just hafta clean the holes in ur rotors more often.
