That was awesome. I want to learn how to fly, for serz
You can take lessons at area airports for like $65 a pop, gets you like 45 mins in the air…or at least that’s how much it was at Richmor Aviation in Ballston Spa when I took lessons a few years ago.
benny can fly a plane :ahh
Wow, thats impressive… the guy was so calm too
Flying a plane is not hard AT ALL.
The difficult part of flying it knowing what to do when something goes wrong.
Luckily I’ve never had one of those moments, but I only have like 3 lessons.
I want flying lessons :excited where do I sign up?
The rundown of the lesson:
Get there, meet your plane (usually a cessna 162 or 182 depending on how many people you want to bring-you can bring two others with you)
Inspect plane with instructor, basic pre-flight inspection.
Hop in, start that shit, taxi that shit.
Take off
Fly around for an hour or so, this includes power failure simulation (cut power to motor, glide, start it back up, continue) as well as a bunch of other maneuvers/techniques (just basic turnsing, rolling, climbing, etc.
Touch-and-go…this is the white knuckles part of the flight, you basically circle the airport, come in for a landing, touch the front two wheels down, then take off again.
Circle around the airport again and come in for a landing
Taxi, park, done.
and yes, you actually do, hands on, everything I listed. All of that was my FIRST lesson too, this was at the ballston spa airport though, it’s not listed on richmor’s site anymore. :shifty
$100, not bad
