pushing my clutch down this morning I had to use two feet. Turning her over my car made a noise that I never heard before and I wasent sure if I had enough juice to crank it over, (beside that I would have had to find a jump on the northside) the kicker is I have an optima red top and a batcap 800 farad capasitor. Yes 800 farad and my 4 cylinder still gave me trouble starting.

That cap doesnt mean shit when it comes to starting the car

lol yeah it is…but i have to heat it seperately, there are no heating ducts that go into the garage. I heard that was illegal anyways, because of exhaust fumes and such. But I have that little electic heater that does a good job at keeping it warm in there. If I push that heater to its max, it will keep the garage at about 79 degees…its way too hot in there then though, i supposed I could just keep the door from the garage to the kitchen open, but then the cats would get in there and climb all over Whiteys ride.

Move South.

I always thought it was stupid that it’s 60-70 out and it still has “advanced winter storm tracking”…

meh, it gets icy down there sometimes too?

I took yesterday off but I had too much shit to do today, so in to work I went. The thermostat is reading 72 but with all the windows in my office it feel like 50.

Once…for about 6 hours.

I was told it hasn’t happened in about 3 years and it was rare for even that.
I was amazed at how organized they are with bad weather though, incase it happens. Sprayed all the roads down with anti-ice stuff, not sure what it is. Shut down some ramps, bridges that ice over quick. All the high-schools have an automated system that calls all the parents of the kids if school is cancelled.

My momma lives in San Antonio…said this is the worst winter (and by worst, I mean they had 2 weeks in the 30s) shes seen in the last 10 years shes lived there. A couple weeks ago they got some freezing rain that shut the city down for 2 days. Said people were stranded all over the place and she was just driving like normal cause shes used to it from living here. Moral of the story is…I think its funny how different areas view inclement weather. They think 30 is unbearable and close the city…we think 30 is a heat wave these days…

i could only pray for 30 degree weather right about now:x:
