Buffalo Mass Shooting @ Tops

This entire thing makes me want to barf. He basically sat in the one classroom and killed every one of them. sickening.

Make all the windows and doors bullet proof glass. At least use that thick film that doesn’t allow the windows to be broken out quickly or easily. Give the kids and teachers a few more minutes to escape.

Any mass shooter that survived and is in prison needs to immediately be executed.
Slowly preferably.

Due process, then Death. No in between.

The window film idea would be an easy and cost-effective way to prevent anyone from getting in through the ground floor in a short period of time. At least get people enough time to evacuate a classroom and/or get someone armed en route.

I had this installed on all exterior windows and any interior glass door in our building. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to remove, amazing stuff.

I support that effort to about 75%.

Keeps criminals AND police out.
When a shooter only selects one room, and barricades the door, the classroom will be lost.

At least in a high school, kids would have had a chance to fight back in that scenario.

We have full time SROs though, we pay TTPD good money for them.

That glass film looks pretty cool. Much better idea than bars over windows since you could still open the locked window from the inside.

Oh, and this…

Any thoughts on where Sunday’s shooting will be? I predict the outrage will make push timelines up and get the next generation planning.

Any FBI bros on here? I’m sure someone there has a spreadsheet with names and grooming status.

I thought about that for both police entry and fire entry, but my thoughts are that they have the resources to remove the entire window pretty quickly with a grappling hook and a truck or whatever. I’m sure specific training could minimize the time to get in through those specific windows.

Anyone else see this BS. Sure seems weird to pick a single course.
Oh No… We should not test kids on the whisky rebellion during this trying time/power grab

All our exterior ground floor windows are kick out frame windows, we’ve accidentally tested these with students horse-playing…lol.

This is all BS, we’ve known that this exam was going to be cancelled nearly 2 months ago. They are just using this as theater.

My question about the windows is, what happens when a fire takes place and the window needs to be broken out if it’s either not able to be opened or a fixed glass.

You can penetrate (lol) the glass, and yanked hard enough the frame will come out. But to be honest, after talking to the fire inspector each year, we have more exit points than we need for the size so it’s a moot point.

I’m a lot less concerned about a fire with laminated glass and pop out frames than I was about actual bars on windows. If kids are trying to get out because of a fire the pop out frames come out easy enough. The chances that it would be a fireman on the outside trying to get in seem pretty slim, and assuming this type of glass became standard I’m sure they would carry a tool and be trained on how to, I guess you’d say harpoon the glass and yank it out.

Also, the last school fire related death was in 1958…so…

apparent confirmation that the Police stood down while parents were rightfully freaking out outside the school.

warning… this is heart wrenching.
