Buffalo snow removal

I did not realize that you guys have it that bad.

they accidentally the sidestreets.

how can they plow a street full of cars bumper to bumper. If the plow went down them and side swiped every car they would complain about that as well.

yeah. there is no way for cars to get down some of these streets let alone plows

The city sux. They totaled my 02 gmc truck and I had to pay for it because the plows are not liable for damage. I got a new duramax out of it but still i orderd my gmc and waited 6 months for the paint color. I didnt even get to have it striped!

And after 5 months of rebuilting it and changing out the bad frame.

^That fucking sucks.

That makes no sense, if theyre gonna hire people to pilot those huge fucking plows, make sure they can drive. I have to pay outta pocket if those idiots scrape my car? Fuck that, theyre completely liable for their inability to drive.

By law there are not supposed to be cars on the street after 7 or something. If I saw a street the I could barely fit down, I’d say fuck that. People need to shut the fuck up and think. Most people park in the street cause they don’t shovel the driveway. So when they try and ram their FWD cars up 2 and 1/2 feet of snow and they can’t they move back to the street. Fuck em.

sounds like my street.

The signs do not state this in the city… maybe in the burbs

there are no signs I don’t think…

and some people in the city dont have a driveway :frowning:

this is very untrue. people who live in the city HAVE to park on the street a lot of times. there are numerous houses on my block which don’t have a driveway at all. others have enough driveway for one car, and most families have at least two cars now. that’s why the city has parking on different sides of the streets on different days (alternate parking).

with that being said, they did a piss poor job of plowing this year so far. i had absolutely no problems with the snow last year as they at least made an effort to get one swipe down the street within 24 hours of the snowfall. this year i waited until 11:30 pm on christmas eve for a plow to come down the street, at which point it plowed nearly nothing because it had been 50 degrees and rainy all day so most of it melted already. all they did was widen the streets by pushing about three tons of ice into everyone’s driveway, about 3 feet high, blocking us all in on christmas morning.

  1. umm… some places there is no more than 6 inches on either side of the car to get down the road…

  2. The roads are icy, and pretty hard to navigate

  3. They are plow truck drivers… do you really think they are competent?

Thank god its not my road

I don’t think it’s mine either…probably just those city streets that you can barely drive down during the summer let alone the winter

How can they not be liable if they hit a parked car? you had to pay out of pocket/your insurance?

this is why you dont live in the center of buffalo, buffalo is a toilet anyways.
I love how 90% of nyspeed calls other people poor, but yett they dont have driveways.
I accidentally the whole hyprocrit.

I love how 90% of nyspeed doesn’t like you, but yett you keep posting here…Also please show me where you get this idea that 90% of nyspeed doesn’t have driveways. I see no posts in this thread to make that assumption. I feel a poll is in order…
