Build your own sportscar

Not when it’d quadruple the cost of a step. It’d probably be a couple hundred bucks AT LEAST to get a good powdercoat on the chassis. POR15 was probably $50 or less.

I understand it works just as well, im just saying if your taking all that time why not make it look good at the same time? Its just something that I would do I guess.

If that POR-15 is going to be exposed to any sunlight, hit it with a coat or two of black paint, it’s UV sensitive.

Looks great so far.

I cut down the steering rack today, I sure hope this works. I wasn’t sure it would stay straight after I welded it, but it did…

Awesome thread man. I have wanted to build one of these with a turbo13b for some time now. LOl currently the time and money budget does not allow it though. Hey man if you need any help with it drop me a pm. LOL I work for water or soda:D

I threw everything on just to show the progress. Motor mounts are done, front suspension done, rear suspension almost done (needs phanard). Things I need to get it running, fuel tank and pump, finish wiring, driveshaft, cooling system, tie rods. Things I need to be done totally: too miuch to list, but it’s coming along
