can s chassis cars reliably handle 10 sec runs, cause drag is allot more wear and tear ESPECIALLY because of the launch, there all of shock load, and shock load is what does the most damage., and it’s amplifiyed by the sticky track. something to consider espically when on a budget
Nelson…my 1/4 mile time is shit, as is my mph. But my 60’ was 1.9 iirc.
On a slick with a fucked up tranny. She held fine. No twisting, nadda.
If a god damn civic can handle a hard launch, I sure as hell hope an S-chassis could!
^^^ lol yah but if u get wheel hop with slicks or no slip at all and just hook up that’s risky, lol my best time was 16 flat cause i can’t drag 2 afraid to break something especially with the wheel hop cause shit is violent with the drivetrain loading and unloading something has to give, thank god i was running shitty tires. but still slicks and the goal of reaching 10 in the 1/4 that drivetrain would be a timebomb. lol maybe i just need to get a job peace of mind at the track. See this is why i’m overjoyed i’m not an N.D.T tech any more.
coils help with wheel hop A LOT! also the subframe bushings…what a damn difference.
I’m only worried about my tranny. one piece drive shaft too. so the impact on the output shaft is ridiculous.
in all honesty, i’ll most likely only be running this at a few events each year, say maybe 3 or 4. i just like showing everyone that not all imports are rice. if something breaks, i’ll have to company truck to fall back on for a vehicle till i can fix it.
