i’m building it as a daily driven drag car. just something to tear up the strip when i feel the need to spank some old school guys.
haha! awesome.
bolt on shit man. seriously. good tune. easy 10 second car with a slick
what about high flowing it? like 3.5" piping right from the turbo to the Q45 throttle body? is it worth the extra cost?
no. bigger is not better. You want to force the air into the motor. not let it sit in big ass pipes. 2 1/2 is the biggest anyone should go. unless your pushing like 30+ psi.
3-4" exhaust from the turbo. the less bends and curves in ANY of the piping will make everything more efficient.
have u taken your car to the 1/4 yet , to get an idea ?
Some ppl dont have a clue of whats required to run 10’s , its not easy
heres an idea

dude. now a days. 10 second cars are easy to do. VERY easy.
if you don’t think they are…well. I dunno what to tell you.
either way it was a general statement.
yeah their real easy … the number of 10sec cars on this forum is proof…
Not you man, sorry shoulda quoted.
the OP, he only had a choice between a RB20 and a RB26. So, when a 25 is siggested, he ignores it. That’s what it was meant for!
8K? WTF!
An Rb25 is less than 2500 dollars.
With a GT30, fuel pump, a good tune, a FMIC, an intake manifold, you’re looking at less than 6K.
Do you guys realize how easy it is to hit 400WHP with bolt on’s with a 25? Have you seen torque figures on the 25? It’s effin ridiculous and in a lot of cases, puts out more torque than a 26 up to a certain level.
You can BOLT in a RB25, get an exhaust and a good tune for 14PSI. (Right on the edge of what the turbo can handle) and make 350. Just like that.
Sorry bro, didn’t know your life revolves around SON and our s-chassis’.
And that is basically what I am trying to say…to R33 or w/e the fuck his name is.
350hp to the wheels…on a GOOD track/track day, hooking up nice WILL pull an amazing number.
Honestly. Get an S-chassis’ Throw REAR coils on. Good slicks and 350-400hp. See what time you run.
SR’s have run 13.5-13.0’s stock hooking up nice.
Yet, we’re talking RB’s.
Imagine.
Ronnie’s got it down!
The only reason there are barely any 10 sec cars on here is cause not many people on here know what to do to achieve a 10 second run half the people on here dont even have a proper tune…and drive lol
Fixed
and the other half just drift it.
and ronnie, i wasn’t ignoring the 25, it was always an option, and still is. i’m just trying to figure out the best bang for buck to get me to my goals reliably. cause honestly, i don’t think i’d need more than 350 at the wheels in one of these.
Ya alot do drift their cars…grab a sr20 unless you really despise not alot of torque but its not that bad I myself am building a sr20 redtop gt2871r, pfc, jtw s3 cams, stock manifold extrude and honed, greddy IM and etc. Should be running over 380hp at 18psi thats more than enough I guarantee, i wont be running at 18psi untill I get used to 10-14psi dont wanna go crazy right away lol. From what I have heard 350hp is alot in a s13 especially with no interior and what not so yeaa sr20det can do but if you really are against getting one I would go rb25 from the rb series just my opinion…good luck though
RB has good torque. I don’t dislike SR’s at all and in some ways are the better option. They’re a lot simpler of a bolt in and parts are way more readily available.
I just like RB’s for the feel, smoothness, sound and sick sick response to mods and god damn, there’s just something I can’t put my finger on.
Buy my gts-t with a lovely rb20 and try figuring it out. Than sell the vehicle 2 weeks later…sounds like something you would do!
LOLZ, found my perfect car…only thing I’d give it up for at this point is a sick sick sick Zenki S14.
how about a CA18?
Baby RB no?
lol, ill believe it when i see it and i’m seriously considering the neo, it’ll come with close to the amount of power that i want, so a few bolt-ons and i’ll hit 350 without too much of a hassle, hopefully.
