built from spare car parts...

cost me maybe $40 in materials, including a brand new brake rotor for a ford escort.

before you say anything, I tried to clear coat the metal, but it didn’t work well and looked like ass. so I grabbed a can of chevy engine orange off my shelf.

lol mayhem!!! I love it!

photobucket bandwidth exceeded.

let me see what I can do

fixed

That’s pretty silly

You must be single.

Neat, I would have gone with black.

Now sell it on eBay for 200% profit

Looks cool. I stumbled upon a handrail post in NYC made of a differential and axle tubes.

Thats gotta be awfully heavy lol. Be careful with small children lol. I have a cam in my garage that i was planning on doing this to for like 2 years, just havent gotten to it…

yeah the thing has to weigh around 80 lbs.

Not too sure about the paint. Would have looked nice if you cleaned up the parts and just cleared over them.

Either way, for the creativity.

.

Ah. Missed that part.

I figured. lol

  1. thats awesome

  2. you must have a lot of time on your hands. lol

cool idea, but dude, please practice your welding. those welds look like boogers. major undercut, looks like it barely penetrated. i bet you could easily crack em right off. i dont want to put down the work but i hope thats not what they look like on anything that needs to hold strong.

is that the chevy red orange? doesnt look like the chevy orange…

those are tack welds. it’s fully welded on the bottom. dont you worry.

and yeah its the red orange.

even for a tac weld that looks really bad. are you using mig? if so turn the voltage up and slow down the wire speed. if its tig, youre adding too much filler let the torch melt it in. that tac looks like its sitting ontop of the metal. burn that shit in.
