Burning Oil and ECU Codes Help

Engine was rebuilt about 5 000 kms ago, never boosted over 8 pounds on a t25. Its a ca18. Compression is said to be 150 all accross from a trust worthy source. Turbo’s age is unknown.

I’m puffing out some blue smoke out the back pretty heavily. Nothing crazy but enough to get some looks lol. Valve seals and piston rings are brand new. I figured it was the turbo so I took of some intercooler pipes and there was veryyy little oil in them. Just enough to make the piping feel smooth, which I’ve heard is normal. If the turbo seals are gone is it possible its not BLOWING the oil but just leaking it into the exhuast, then burning it up? If this is the case how the oil actually burning if its just leaking into the dump pipe?

Thanks for any help.

Currently looking for a t25 just in case. I want it ready for sunday.

2nd part. My car’s ecu is beeping at me like crazyyy. Its mines tuned. Especially 5-10 minutes into driving. I’ve tried to pull the codes and all i get is

Blink…Blink…blink blink…blink blink blink

I know how to read the codes, but this is confusing…is it 22 and 23?

22 is idle speed control valve or circuit

23 is idle switch ,

what does this mean ? Thanks guys, peace

I’m gonna say turbo.

As for your codes…that ain’t right.

Your blue smoke is caused by either the turbo being on its way out, or excessive blow by. I had a talon that always had small pools of oil in the i/c piping every time i took it apart (which was every other day, @#*% DSM) but it did not blow blue smoke at all, so that IS normal. If the turbo is going, it’s most likely the exhaust side seal…and by the sounds of it, it’s just starting. As for your codes, that would be where you start your diagnostic. Start at the simplest point and through process of elimination, work your way through the entire circuit and it’s components, test everything…you will find your problem.
