I’m confused by that picture there are def 2-3 ginger kids on the other side also

Must not be purebred like your self <3

The money giving makes me think of KONY2012. I feel bad but I won’t send any money before getting all of the details… Then I still won’t send any.

Late to the idea

Too soon? Or am I just dating myself. LOL

this thing is almost at $200k already.

over/under on it hitting $1M?

Wow, 198K before 1pm. Good faith still exists, lets hope these kids can learn from that.

I’d be curious to learn if this was a one-time occurrence or if there was a history and if anyone beyond the monitor and direct students knew that this was occurring…

News articles report that the harassment was not reported, which raises some flags with regards to either employee diligence or a breakdown where employees feel disenfranchised and do not report these types of occurrences.

Just seems like a HUGE string of breakdowns across the board:
-Parents of the children raised little shitheads to begin with
-Failure of monitor to report occurrence for whatever reason
-Pattern of lack of consequence for their behavior makes the kids more bold

The monitor certainly did not deserve to be treated like that, but why did behavior like that go unreported and surface as a reported surprise to the district?

The monitor was a previous bus driver, who due to hearing loss couldn’t drive anymore. They let her stay on so she could afford to live as a monitor, so that’s why she was doing what she was doing.

I’m going with over. It’ll only speed up as more people hear about it.

Props to this lady for not losing her cool. I think her maturity shows in the reasoning of why she didn’t report it. Honestly, I think this kind of stuff probably happens more than any if us think. This one just happened to be caught on tape.

if that were me, my dad would have put me into a wall

if that were my son, he’d be put into a wall

i could not imagine hearing the part about her kids killing themselves only to find out this happened to her 10yrs ago

when we rode the bus we stood on the seats and jumped at bumps…we never picked on the aids
wtf is wrong with people

oh i know
kids cant be hit by their parents because if they are hit…they can sue and win
f that, watch me hit my for discipline. But with love not anger

IDK. I’m betting it slows down now that it’s well over the average yearly salary of most people likely to donate… but maybe I’m too pessimistic.

VVV see? VVV

200k!!!
Ill take a bullying for 200+k

this

If I were making $15k/year by making sure these little cum spittles don’t kill each other during their 15 minute bus ride I sure wouldn’t bother with the effort reporting them, especially if it involved shit like confronting the parents. Once they’re off the bus their someone else’s problem.

That’s where the breakdown is though.

A continued cycle of actions without negative consequences for children only further emboldens them and not reporting these types of actions does far more damage than good. I commend her for keeping her cool during the situation, but there is a breakdown when behavior like this is allowed to perpetuate and only comes back to bite the children when they draw the attention to themselves by posting it publicly.

Behavior of that nature that is even witnessed by an adult, let alone directed at an adult should have been reported and disciplinary measures should have been taken by administration. Now whether the breakdown was a result of the monitor’s decision making alone or whether some blame falls upon administration for prior decision-making that disenfranchises employees is what I am questioning. This event should not have been a surprise to administration as they indicate.

Why I’m not bothering to find another teaching job next year? Hmm.

Kids are a lost cause.

You know what we have to do when our students act up like this? We write an incident report and send them to the front office. 99% of the time they get after school detention and are back in the classroom the next day or so. What do they learn? If you act up, we make you stay 45 mins extra after school and you get to do your homework.

Bullshit.

This is well said! In our society the lack of consequence & meaningful punishment is making it a free for all.
