One reason you won’t see them in NDRA is because of safety. How many people want to put a cage and all the other bs rules on their daily driver? 80% of the fast cars are just daily drivers so a full cage and sometimes a shoot, no one wants that on their car.

I think cut off was 12.60 It was a turbo car. It blew something up on that pass. I was simply showing that they dont show up and when they do they dont do very well…

For each his own. i am not trying to bash any 3000gt. but its just to damn heavy. at least to be a “good” drag car

shitbox go learn to read on the web, firstly they are 3800lbs+ not 3600. Also if changing the rear plugs is so hard for you get a custom intake manifold. Oh better yet hard to work on? Try deleting all the crap like emissions and get rid of stock intercoolers and theres plenty of room. As for pricey? No they aren’t if they were how would so many freaking 16yr olds be building them up?

Hmm wasn’t this post started to help ssdragon deciede if he should get a vr4 for his girl? I doubt he would by a custom intake, delete emissions and swap out the side mount intercoolers since it wasn’t going to be a project/race car. Just a daily for his girl who could care less about all that crap. As for 16 yr olds owning these, They should thank there parents for showing them the ideals of working for what you want! Quick ebay look and there are 6 cars but only 2 of them have buy it knows and one is 10k and the other 14.5k! wow I wish i could’ve afforded that when I was 16 washing fucking dishes!

Is this for real …My dad has a 99 Vr-4 …if u get a 99 I would suggest not making it an auto they were made in a limited amount somewhere in the ballpark of 260 total Vr4’s for 99 go with an earlier year and even a mid 90s stealth r/t

I was going to look for the proof but I don’t want to I know for one the fastest stock vr4 is a red 97 vr4 it ran 12.8 at 107mph(not 100% on the MPH) But the guy did this in denver. The second fastest at sea level would be was 13.2@ w/e MPH at 3600ft.

Oh yeah keep bringing my legend into this but for the fact I own 4 freaking cars you choose that one. Whatever

Those are some nice ones at the strip but no chute = kicked off. Oh yeah these are strictly turbo no nitrous on any of those cars. Personally I like dynamic racings stealth

deleting emissions is 6 vaccum lines that are routed in a big ness above the throttle body. It can be shorted by alot and that is how emissions are deleted. Swapping out the intercoolers are both a performance and upgrade from stock ones because in stop and go traffic the stock ones become heat soaked and don’t allow proper boost. You can leave them in just shorten the one intake pipe and it opens up room. I said intake manifold mainly if its such a hassle that it takes 15 mins to do the rear plugs.

So when I was 16 and bought a 93 vr4 with 76k on it for 8k I paid for it myself. Are you trying to tell me my mommy/daddy bought it for me? Kids in HS are making 8 bucks a hour at the low end so it’s not as hard as you think, but insurance on the other hand is WAY high.

Weak trannys, too heavy, a pain in the ass to work on, and a bitch to find parts for.
