buying tires....where do you go?

To mount them I always go to swerve. It’s about a 20min drive for me but I’d rather help out Paul then a few other shops I pass on the way. Plus his price is good and I enjoy looking at that red hatch

The past few times I just had Walmart do my mount and balance, it was like 8 per tire. Though if I had nicer rims I would be more inclined to pay Swerve or another shop, but thus far walmart hasn’t failed me.

Fixed =)

Paul takes care of yo stuff

so are you sucking his D as well? holy leg humper.

nothing against swerve, you just seem really committed to pushing the idea of going there where his prices are the same as anywhere else that will do a fine job for mount & balance. lol.

No it’s the fact that Paul is a sponser on this forum who does an exceptional job compared to 99% of the other places around and actually gives two shits about making sure you’re a satisfied customer. God forbid someone recommend a place they’ve had a good experience with and to build a relationship with a local shop. Yeah he’s totally dick sucking…

It’s only ok to hump Arctic Cat and Dodge.

<---- Here

Well seeing that Swerve closed its not really an issue anymore

When did this happen?

14 Hours Ago - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Swerve-Motorsports/166694013347349

Bro do you even internet??

yeah, pretty sad to see.

Guess I just never followed them on FB. Being a sponsor that a lot of members did business with this seems worthy of it’s own thread.

So who does M&B now? Preferably someone that can reprogram TPMS sensors as one of mine took a shit and I have a replacement going in. Just picked up new tires on this deal since my rears were just about down to the belts and got raped a little less on my 19" all seasons

Yeah, shame Swerve is gone. Their prices were better than or on par with most other places, especially if you paid in cash, and their service was great. I can’t tell you how many times I took some wheels to a shop and couldn’t drop them off and leave them, couldn’t have tires mounted on the rim because of the finish on the rim or the size, couldn’t blah blah. Even had a shop throw out some tires that I wanted to keep. Swerve never wronged me and usually had my shit done within a few hours, sometimes even on the spot. That’s not leg humping, that’s just good service.

Also would like a recommendation on mounting and balancing. I need a place that’s fair priced and quick, and more importantly won’t whine when I ask them to mount some 275/40/18s.

I’ve purchased a few things from them for road cars that I didn’t give a shit about, but they typically charge extra for things Tire Rack gives you for free - like mounting hardware / tuner lugs. ALSO Tire Rack destroys DTD in terms of shipping time. My orders usually arrive in two days.

DTD has a shit selection of lightweight wheels and performance tires.

That’s all I buy because

FLATOUT
That is how I drive.

BUMP.

Due for 4 corners. 225/40/r18

Anyone have any recent experiences with a tire center, or online purchase?

Discount Tire’s sales are hard to beat. You can usually stack a couple DTD rebates with a manufacturer rebate. I ended up with a set of Cooper Ultra Touring’s in 255/60/19’s for our Enclave for $480 shipped after all the rebates. That’s a great price for a big 19" tire. The same set at Tire Rack today is $822 after shipping, minus the $70 Cooper rebate.

Then drop by Super Tire Change Bros (Andy and his brother Ryan) for the mount and balance.

I should have just PM’d you. Every time I need tires you always know whats good, lol

Thanks @JayS

@Beck mentioned after I bought mine that he could have hooked me up with a good price too through Basil VW in Lockport. Might be worth hitting him up as well. I had already ordered mine so it was too late. I like supporting local but it’s tough to get close on price when DTD was running two rebates through them (60 and 75) plus 70 from cooper and no tax or shipping. Tax alone on my tires would be over $60. The wife complains all the time about how expensive I am so I have to save the bucks where ever I can. lol
@Justin got me a great deal on the 18" rims for my VW too, actually matched anything I could get online and then gave me a good price on mounting/balancing the tires.

Would be tough. In SoCal but thanks for the heads up.
