ca18det rebuild time!! suggestions and input please of aftermarket suppliers/ oem

k so time to rebuild by ca… its just under 200k been a great motor and been beaten up pretty good, i have lower compression in the number 3 cylinder… currently the motor has basic unrestricitve exhaust, intake, fmic, t28bb, boost controller just at 9 psi

so far my plans :

head -
arp head studs
head gets sent off to the machine shop - valves , guides etc
gasket kit - cometic full upper and lower kit, oem ??
water pump - oem, aftermarket, seen a few on ebay ? lot of parts are discontinued from nissan canada :frowning:
timing belt - oem, greddy?
oil pump - oem , seen various on ebay ?

bottom end -
knock the piston out - clean up the walls as long as there is no damage.
piston rings - oem, aftermarket ? wanting to keep the same pistons and rods and crank
main thrust washers - oem or aftermarket ?

555 injectors - already have
upgrade maf… 300zx
nistune… need to order
= 300 whp ? :smiley:

please feel free for any suggestions of parts, suppliers, hints, tips etc

thanks for the links found some useful stuff!!

so pricing it out at 1400 roughly for parts… would a second option be to replace the motor ?? ive seen swaps for about 1400 as well but i dont need all the extras… trans, harness, ecu, so maybe i could save some money there… any suggestions on reputible shops with replacement low kms motors, private sales etc??
