Cadillac STS-V, opinions?

So I am looking to pick up a new vehicle the end of this year/really early next year. I am a big guy, so something small just isint going to due. I want something with some luxury and style and performance.

I have always liked the CTS-V’s, and recently laid my sights on the STS-V.

Anyone had experience with them? Heard of any problems?

At first I was thinking the 4.4L Northstar might not be as “Mod” friendly as the LS2/LS6(depending on what model year) in the CTS-V. But with packing 469hp from the factory, I figure it should be enough to satisfy me for a little while.

I was also looking at the RS4’s, but they are some serious coin, and im looking to spend 20-23k or so.

Any other suggestions that I should be looking at? My one major draw back is I have no idea how to drive a manual vehicle, and I dont want to learn on an expensive vehicle.

dump it on some wheels

cts-v is the tits, exausht DONE xlr-v?

I honestly haven’t seen a set of wheels I think look better then the factory 18/19’'s

huh?

Learn how to drive standard on a junker, then get a nice CTS-V in that price range.

CTS-V

Go LSx or go home.

From what I’ve seen…STS-V’s and CTS-V’s of the same year have about the same resale value, if not the CTS’s being a little more expensive.

I think you’ll like the performance/mileage/looks of the CTS-V a bit more, but that’s just my opiniont.

For performance upgrades, thats what I was thinking as well.

This would be my first “fast” vehicle. The most powerful thing I’ve had to date is the 5.0, 215hp (if anywhere close to that) mountaineer

yeah either car will feel like a rocket ship in that case haha

Lsx will be much more reliable

the northsatr is a p.o.s motor . constant oil leaks ,head problems , the list goes on . lsx is the way to go in this one

yep

I’ve driven every version of the CTS-V, the STS-V and did a 14 hour road trip in a XLR-V. That being said the CTS-V is the most fun by far out of all of them. The first gen CTS-V goes very well for being a 4-door and really has that sports car feel to it with gobs of power. Learn to drive stick, it will make owning a fun car 10x more fun.

ask achou if you can practice driving stick on his FREE honda civic

hmmmmm also considering a CTS-V. :thumbup cool cars

I fuckin knew it you LSx lovin fool!

Well balanced car

wat

I vote for CTS-V. The STS-V is a great car but their is no aftermarket which is why the CTS-V will have even greater resale value in the future even if you don’t take advantage of its aftermarket.
