no, im not running you or anyone else at the track until i get some things sorted out with my car, namely the clutch. Last time i went to the track the car wouldnt let me into 2nd when it did it slipped badly.

It is NOT a track car by any stretch of the imagination in its current configuration.

Jt what gears do you have, I have tires that will help you, diffeent sizes depending on what you need.

i have 3.73’s im thinking about switching to 4.10’s

i currently have a spec 3, it was in the car when i bought it, prob has 20k miles on it now and plenty of beating on it… it just doesnt feel right anymore and slips from time to time under wot… the first time it happened was maybe a month ago after i was being a jackass and demonstrating the :tspry: to a friend

this winter my plans (as of now at least) are a spec 4, 4.10’s and a set of weld prostars. I would also like to do some suspension work, namely getting rid of the tranny mount tq arm.

the thing is i would LIKE to get the car more track oriented, i love going to the track, it just isnt fun for me with my own car because the first 60 feet is a disaster for me.

I didn’t know about your clutch issues. The car seemed to shift perfectly fine in the video you posted 2 days ago against cobraman. I figured a 1/4 mile blast might interest you but I guess not.

launching on a bad clutch /= shifting from a roll. that’s kind of common sense. i can vouch for the clutch issues, he’s been bitching about the clutch personally for a while now. he already declined the dig and gave you the win. i don’t see why you keep stressing this.

Man you would swear some people think the world will end if they don’t win a race. Go to the track, enjoy what you built, who cares the outcome. If joelster wins sort things this winter and make it a goal to beat him next season!

i dont think jt76 cares about losing. it’s a matter of making it home from the track and not welding his clutch. why do you think he hasn’t been going to the track? he always rides with me

idk why people wont just let this die jims car is not setup for the track, and he (no offense jim) isnt that great at launching, but launching a 6spd car isnt easy, and definitely not as easy as a stalled auto i dont think it would be much of a race in the 1/4 spray for spray cuz if joelster cuts anything from a 1.6-1.8 60’ its alot of track for jim make up.

and then a roll so that way its more fair for everyone involved
