Cameron Motorsports complex?

scrollin threw the news paper today i found an ad for this place

http://www.cameronmotorsports.com/

they are located outside of hamilton, facility looks big enough for cars…

anyone ever been here? what do you think?

I drive past it all the time.

Its pretty small, perfect for gokarts, i dont think it would work for cars, but i could be wrong. Its also extremely busy, its an FIA go-kart track so competitions all the time.

pretty poor layout for cars.

Plus if you look at the pictures of it in relation to the surrounding cars, you can tell just how small the track width is.

An optimist would call it a perfect opportunity to learn precision++ driving! lol. 8)

Lol untell you try to go under the little bridge, then its a free place to get a convertable swap.

i raced a full season there last year, its strictly a full kart track.

Yeah, I have raced there for 4 seasons a while back. The track is WAY too skinny. And the guy that runs the show, Bob Cameron, would want to charge you an arm and a leg to do anything. That is why I quit, the prices kept going up as the fun factor kept on going down.

Keep looking though Jesse! We need something local.

:werd:

Bob was a cool guy at the beginning of the season, then he just became an assclown. I only went for one season and quit like half way through…

It used to be $100 for the season and $30 for each night with no taxes. That would be for 1 hour of practise if you showed up early, 2 races of 10 laps each then a 25 lap feature plus all the hot laps before each race to warm up the tires. I figured it out to be over 100 laps for $30, and the racing was GREAT, minimal yellows for little bumps and stuff. Then he started to get all worked up about the minimal banging and the laps went down to 8, 8, and 15. Then the price went up adding taxes. Then the two qualifiers went for a shit being replaced with time trials. That sucked cause it took out all the competition untill the last race and if you ended up with a shitty Kart, you were done.

I did manage to take a championship in one of the earlier years though. Fun banquets in the earlier days to.

Ive raced there in the past for 5 years since i was 13. I raced on the canadian team beisse for Bob worked out a good relationship with him but still his prices are far too much…i was working part time 30 hours a week when i was 15 just to pay to race on the canadian team for him. He hates my grandma…she was after his ass 24/7. Lol hes a tough guy ive never seen him avoid sumone so desperatly…my grandmas a short stub…she even asked him once if he tries to avoid her…Lmfao hottest sh!t ive ever seen. i quit a season ago deffinatly miss the track but ive relized his prices are too much. Any of you guys who raced in the Ontario Kartsport Championship…or w/e he called it where u just race at his track remember me? biesse race suit red helment with the ferrari logo on the back and red LED light inside the front of my helment. When drivers shoulder checked and saw that red LED they sure did move to the side and let me pass  When i was on the team the very 1st year i was #60 for part of the season then 68. Raced in world formula the odd time covered for a friend who raced rotax.
