Any idea what the actual altitude is? I know you can see tree tops, So I figured more like 100…
Couldn’t dig up an altitude for that. But I speculate it’s ~120’
Too bad a tornado took out the kinzua bridge… 301 ft tall
according to wikipedia there is still a piece remaining!!
Actually, the bridge is the blue structure in the photo. The picture was taken from the park on the east side.
Whoops. You’re right.
That definitely doesn’t look as high as I remember it. lol
Maybe the Driving Park Bridge over the Genesee in Rochester? A little farther downstream from Paulo’s bridge:
id say its more like 80-100. pointless.
I don’t know if you can pull this off, but, seeing that you mentioned the new bridge on the extended 219 section, I’ll tell you anyways. In PA on 90W, not too far in the state, there is an exit for a place called Harborcreek. They re-did these 2 bridges that span a pretty tall gorge, drive over them on my way to auction in PA.
There’s a Tower Crane at Unity Park Ridge hospital on LongPond Rd in Rochester. Probably a bad idea to try and get to the top of it though…
I been there a bunch, windy as a mofo in the middle, that is before it fell down. You’d have to hop some fences to get access to the bridge itself now though. I doubt that would be a issue.
pics???
How high up is the sunset railroad bridge? It’s been a few years since I was out there, bruised my ribs jumping into the water from the short end though.
Lol, i’ve jumped off the top without a parachute.
the remains of the kinzua bridge have been restored into a pedestrian overlook.
I bet you can find a couple of these around here newmon.
There is nothing over 1200 in a few hours from here.
1200, 1700, 500, what’s the difference? you only want at least 150.
1200 > 150 newmon… Do it.
I have jumped off about 20 antennas in the WNY area, lol… I just know where they ALL are. I may not know where certain bridges are.
