Like bing said, the problem here is …
Your not using local vendors.
Local vendors prices reflect the hassle of customs, shipping, currency exchange.

+1
Local Vendors dont always have what we need, and what they have already calculates for the customs they pay to bring the product in, for the most part, its not much better really.
At the very least, some online vendors get it to our door and sometimes cheaper than local vendors.
oh and Feint, i have 3 pairs of Oakleys now, im pretty sure ill be good for the rest of my life, but thanks anyway haha
Are you serious? None of the local vendors had what I was lookign for and it was SR/S14. It’s like saying stopdriving take public transit- it’s not a viable option.
There are though things which I have bought from the site sponsored vendors but to say that is the solution is incorrect.
i just recently bought a clutch kit from southbend, they sent it with ups and i got charged $100 for customs charges. I thought i got a sick deal until it actually reached my house. haha
There’s not really any good way to ship stuff cross-border. My last of many shitty experience was selling an iphone to a guy in canada unlocked for 500. Shipped UPS. Someone saw the customs form and ripped open the box and stole it. They found the box empty and threw it away. Then they tried to deny my insurance claim and I had to appeal it twice.
I said it before. SHIP IT TO UPS IN PORT HURON! THEN DRIVE THERE! PROBLEM SOLVED. If they suspect you bought something though and search your car. Your fucked lol
Just never use UPS for anything PERIOD! Now the problem is solved!
pm’d.
You guys have it much easier than us NL guys.
Try dealing with all the customs crap that you do…then have your package sit in QC for a week or two because everything goes through Lachine.
Then it gets to NB and waits for space on a ferry…during the winter mod buying season, the ferry is usually delayed for a week or so a few times a year.
Finally it gets on a ferry, but tracking stops in NB, so you randomly get a package a week later.
Not to mention you guys have access to local vendors…I have never bought a local mod…lol
Both parts arrived today i got slammed 20$ customs fees. So total amount spend was 400$ this encluded my exedy clutch and oem nissan rear transmission seal and shipping to my house. Where as the clutch itself quoted by a vender was 399$ plus shipping minus the rear seal. I personally would rather support our vendors and boost the canadian economy but why is it 105$ more for the same clutch just because its in canada? Doesnt make sense to me.
