I hear you on the warranty side of things. My younger brother actually has a 2010 elantra and I told my father that was the car to get for him due to the warranty and the fact that the Cruze wasn’t out and Cobalts are junk. GM does have a 5yr 100k powertrain warranty and the 3/36 bumper to bumper, but the Hyundai 5/60 bumper to bumper is not going to be beat.

Know someone who just left an 09 Elantra for the new Cruze and they are very impressed with the Cruz which is luxury like compare to the Elantra.
