Me and some friends are thinking about doing a 24 Hours of LeMons race this year and need a car. The rules state that aside from safety items the total cost of the car must be $500 or less.
We’ll take anything as long as its cheap and is drivable. We prefer it to be a manual. Looking to get something for $300 or less, as things like a clutch, suspension bushings, etc all take away from our $500 limit. But if you have something ready to go for a little more, we’ll take a look.
Its an endurance race, so focus on just having a well running car. When I did it, a honda civic base model and miata dominated everyone just because they were able to keep running.
Yea, thats the plan, have a car that will live though the beating. Thats why we want to have a little money left over after buying the car so we can do little things that’ll keep us moving.

Knew I should have kept that other Z shell, haha. And I’d rather not take the 280z. It will be a street car when its finished and having all that safety stuff (full cage, ignition shut off, fuel shut up, etc) would ruin that.
