I hopped in my car to drive to work this morning and started it up. I put the car in reverse and went about 30 feet in reverse and the car started sounding like my brakes were scraping with kind of a grinding sound. I still had about 30 feet left to go in reverse…pulling out of between townhomes. I stopped the car, got my 4 way out and checked all lugnuts, all were fine. I backed it up all the way and it did it the entire time. Put it in drive and did the same thing for about 20 feet then stopped making the noise. Plus this entire time, it felt as though the car was needing me to give it more gas to move. After the 20 feet in drive, it stopped till I got 40 miles to work then I pulled in the Dunkin Donuts. I was pulling into a parking spot and I had to go over a speed bump and my passenger rear tire was resting on the speed bump and the car did the same thing right when I was coming to a stop in the spot. I went in got my coffee and put the car in reverse. The car felt again like the E-brake was on and really didn’t want to move. I put the car in drive and took off. It did it again for about 20-30 feet in drive then stopped. I got to work, looked under the car and saw nothing rubbing or caught up anywhere.
What could this be? Weird it only does it everyonce in awhile.
