Car ownership transfer .... HELP

okay

So what happens when you sign the back of a ownership

put a 10 day permit on it

and the 6 days go by for you to register the car and pay taxes?

some type of penality or something? does the car go back to the original owners name?

nope aslong as you have your bill of sale saying its your car then its yours. as for registering it later it isnt a problem aslong as you have the proper documents.

What are the reasons for this 6 day stuff??/

IS IT giong to effect anything if the car was involved in a 0 fault accident?

if you can answer that question, thats all i care about

6 days… to strike fear into you to get your paperwork done…

example;
you have 6 days to change your address after you move for example, so everytime I get pulled over I get asked about living in wasaga since I am 170km away, I just say I commute mondays and fridays.

not really…
the bill of sale is just there to ensure that you are getting a clean title…or some what clean.

It’s just to confirm what the seller has said about the car and what’s officially on record. For example, any liens, outstanding fines etc… will show up on the bill of sale.

The 6 day stuff, can also be used in such a way that if you find items on the car that wasn’t specified in the sale, you can terminate the transaction and get your money back.
(correct me if I’m wrong here)

Essentially it’s just used as a buffer to prevent a sale/purchase from going horribly wrong.
