Watching CNN’s Ferguson coverage I picture the head of the network sitting in a dimly lit den, sipping expensive scotch next to a fire with a sly grin as he watches the riots his network has so carefully crafted over the last few months come to a full boil. Push the inflammatory witness testimony to the top story section, suppress or ignore entirely all the physical evidence, other more credible witnesses and autopsy reports that prove those witnesses are lying and sprinkle in some of the parents talking about what a good boy Big Mike was. Claim the video showing him strong arm robbing some store clerk just minutes before being shot is racist and refuse to give it much coverage. For a final touch on your recipe for anarchy disable the comments section so you can be sure no one will call you out on the total misinformation you’re spreading. Bravo, you set a new low for 24 hour ratings based news and set race relations back 50 years.

I couldn’t agree more, I am dumbfounded by the number of people that don’t take any of this into account and think the cop just shot some innocent kid walking down the street pretty much.
The protesters liked anarchy right up until someone used it against them… with a car. The problem with anarchy is someone will always have a bigger gun.

It’s one thing if you are a criminal. I believe that if you are shot in the back, surrender and then executed by a police officer that officer should be prosecuted.
Except he wasn’t shot in the back. All the forensic evidence backs up the cops story. Not a single shot from the back and that’s where the Brown supporter witnesses started changing their stories or admitting they didn’t actually see it while testifying.
One (black) witness actually documented in her journal BEFORE she was even questioned by the police. The thug was charging the cop. End of story.
3 medical examiners including one hired by the family all said he didn’t get shot in the back :lol:
yet people are still testifying he got shot in the back
Also if you’re going to protest cops shooting people start picking better examples not someone who just stole shit from a store.

I’m not against police doing their job. It’s how they do their job that concerns me. Shooting an unarmed man is the easy way out and there have been an overabundant amount of these situations this year alone.
If you are a criminal or take part in criminal acts those are your choices and hopefully you’ve contemplated the consequences, which can include loss of your life. However based on the evidence it would seem that Darren Wilson acted in a less than professional manner. The history of the area and the local law enforcement tactics seem to back that up, if they didn’t I don’t think we would be having this discussion. He would just be another statistic.
I’m not attempting to absolve Michael Brown from his actions, he made some dumb choices. I personally think that Darren Wilson’s actions were excessive and chicken shit.
The issues with the puppet show of a grand jury are an entirely other matter.

I used to play with real BB guns in the woods with friends as a kid. Kids do dumb shit all the time. WTF all these police had to do was stop and ask tell the kid to drop his weapon. Shoot first, ask questions later.
I guarantee if I had pointed my air soft/bb gun/cap gun at people at a park when I was younger, ToT PD would have been all over me just like this kid. I was fortunately taught to be responsible and had common sense growing up. Did the police over-react? In my opinion, no. They responded to a kid with a gun at the park. If the police had showed up at my neighborhood (white suburbia) in response to me waving a gun as a child, they would’ve pulled up guns drawn as well. I would’ve dropped the gun and stood there though. This kid was reaching for the BB gun the second they showed up, an aggressive move, whether he realized it or not.
Police officers are on edge, all across the nation because the media is villainizing them. The job is more difficult now than it has ever been. So when you have a tense situation, with a rookie officer, during tense times, it adds up to unfortunate situations where you have a young child dying.
Could it have been prevented? Sure.
But that lies on both sides, not just the police, making better decisions. Learn from this.

My parents told me if I ever pointed those toys at someone they’d take it away, and I was never allowed to bring them to a park/school/anywhere where it might get me in trouble.
This kid didn’t get that lesson.
Outfitting these officers with a Go Pro would put an end to so many problems.
