I would love this. But with gopros crappy battery theyd get about 2hrs of footage. Every car should camera on the front dash, back window and passenger a pillar watching the cop. Hard wire it so theres no issues
I dont understand why “oh that cop car didnt have a camera” is even said. Every car should have a camera…and dont tell me theres (1) not enough money (2) we need to raise taxes to afford this

Im not saying theres no bad cops out there…but if someone is attacking me and I might not make it home to see my family…Ill do what it takes to see my family again
Yes, a body camera that cannot be switched off when convenient.
Sure I can understand that point of view, having never had to walk a mile in a black person’s shoes.
Life isn’t equal and it isn’t fair. That’s why there is supposed to be accountability and justice for all in this country. I see none of that.
I grew up in TOT for a while and I know several officers. This would have never have happened then. Maybe now with all of trigger happiness that seems to be very pervasive lately.
Part of the problem is some people just hate the police so much they’ll justify ridiculous explanations just so they can blame the police. Be it dismissing forensic evidence, ignoring the fact that a kid was pointing an airsoft gun that was a perfect replica of a real gun at people then tried to pull it from his waistband when the police pulled up or believing the testimony of a guy who robbed a store minutes earlier over a 6 year police veteran with a perfect record.
There is no reasoning with people like that. They will believe anything that supports their view that police are bad and dismiss anything that doesn’t.
I agree, some people do hate the police. However I think even main stream America has taken notice of the increasing militarization and rise in police brutality. It’s to the point that it cannot be ignored and or swept under the rug. These actions are so blatant and disregard the rights of individuals that you’d really have to ask yourself is it too late to do anything about it?
One thing is for sure, every unlawful attack on a citizen that is filmed ends in cities paying out massive settlements. At some point tax payers will become tired footing the bill.
Everybody should be treated equally no matter if they are gay, black, white, straight, latino, etc. … Until there is an injustice. Then it becomes the WHITE officer who killed the unarmed BLACK teenager. People were complaining that the jury was too white. So does that mean ever white person on the jury would be racist and side with the cop? Also, the eye witness reports never matched up. Some people said Michael Brown was in the car, others say he was never in there. Some said he charged at officer wilson, others said he surrendered. However they DID find MB’s blood and DNA in the car and on Office Wilson. So it’s not a matter of Darren Wilson pulling up to the seen and unloading on a random black kid.
idk… I thought every person knew that you shouldn’t grab a police officers gun… and if you did, you probably were going to have a bad day.
For anyone calling Darren Wilson a coward… let me ask you… what would have happened if the next blow thrown would have knocked him out? Would the suspect just run away? I mean, he did go for his gun once… wonder what would happen if he got ahold of the officers weapon? I’ll give you two guesses.
+1 I’ve also seen some tweets that he should have shot him in the foot/leg…First off police aren’t trained to injure threats, rather neutralize. Also, you’ve just shrunk your target area a shitload. But yeah, he assaulted the office and I think was lucky he made it out of the car and down the street. If an officer is in danger, we give them the right to defend themselves with lethal force.
I AM GLAD TO READ THIS! I just wish this was on the main stream news…but it will never be. Know why? Because (1) they want to keep the country divided (2) buns were used here as protection…wait what?! Protection? Guns are bad right?!
Who remembers the protests from the shooting of Brad Horton?
Shooting of Brad Horton[edit]
On June 26, 2006, police were looking for Phillips in the town of Sheridan in Chautauqua County, due to vehicles believed to be stolen by Phillips showing up there. Trooper Sean Pierce stopped Bradley Horton, 25, on his ATV. From this point on in the story, the police and the local resident’s stories differ.[28]
The police claim that Horton sped away, dragging the officer. Friends of Horton claim that no one was dragged. The New York State Trooper shot Brad Horton. Friends of Horton claim they were kept from the area and were not allowed to find him to get medical assistance to him. Horton called his wife and 911 as he lay dying in the field. His family was also unable to search for him. Eventually, Chautauqua County Sheriff officers were let onto the scene and located Horton. He was flown by helicopter to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. Horton died that evening.
The medical examiner’s report showed five gunshot wounds to the back, with no upward angle present in the entry wounds. This evidence contradicts the trooper’s account of shooting Horton while being dragged by the ATV. How the trooper was allegedly dragged has not ever been explained.
Initially, the media reported this shooting as a separate incident, unrelated to the search for Phillips. However, many residents reported hearing the trooper on their police scanners say “I got him. I shot Bucky. Or I at least shot the guy who was with him.” Others reported hearing troopers say that “they had ‘the suspect,’ and someone should notify Erie County.”[29]
Horton’s family and local residents can’t explain how someone who was being dragged and lay injured a mile down the road could simultaneously send a message on his radio. Police recordings of that evening’s communication have disappeared. The trooper was allowed to return to work that evening since his injuries weren’t serious. The trooper’s name is Sean Pierce.[30]
Angered residents pressured the Chautauqua County District Attorney to investigate the incident and seek justice for the family of Brad Horton. The shooting was investigated by the New York State Police bureau of criminal investigation and the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s office.[31] Following the investigation, on September 29, 2006 a grand jury in Chautauqua County decided not to indict Trooper Pierce in the shooting.[32]
Because this was justified. How hard is it to subdue someone when you have multiple people. Is it necessary to beat them to a pulp? I cannot understand how the answer can be yes.
