Turns out i actually 3 holes (cracks) in the manifold the whole summer, which would explain the car’s wierd behavior. Chuck (Firehawk853) tuned it best he could, and even said it seemed like it had a vaccum leak months ago, but we couldnt find it. Then the other night, i guess it just decided to let go and thats when the HUGE crack happened. Turns out, the FAST manifolds are easy to crack if you tighten them down too hard, which is exactaly what the former owner did. The car runs a whole lot better now and has excellent street manners, eventhough its pig rich and need a re tune BADLY. I can only imagine it will get better. Thanks to Psycopjv and JnJ for their help.

are you serious? air pocket in the cooling system? you were nowhere near the problem. a cracked manifold is leaking in unmetered air into the engine causing sensors to compensate for something they can’t fix. This had nothing to do with the cooling system. An air pocket in the cooling system will cause a “hot spot” which can make the guage go nuts and affect the idle slightly. not to the point of 4,000 rpms though.
Could this mean theres a good possibility you’ll be running like 11.6-11.7 if you went to nyi again with a retune?
