So i decided to maybe take the car for a spin around the block before i activate my insurance, plug in the battery turn the key and its a no go. Try a few more times and no go, i hear clicking as i try to turn the key but don’t hear the car trying to start up. Any idea what could be the problem? i was thinking it might be the starter? not sure why it wouldn’t work as i didn’t drive it the whole winter.
yea probably your starter or spark plugs
is the bat dead? rusty/drity terminals… i had that problem
if you’re hearing rapid clicks as you turn the key, it’s your battery, it’s either low or one of the cells is dead. It does not matter if your stereo blasts and your headlights work fine, even if you’re low by 1 Volt, other applications will work fine while the starter relay will keep shutting itself down pretty much, thus the clicking noise
thanks for the help. it was the battery.
