I think that is a valid argument and I tend to agree with you. However, the “gangsta/campus thug at a party” thing happens already in gun free school zones. Remember the Duquesne campus shooting 2.5 years ago that put bullets in half the basketball team? I’m still not sure that having everyone in the ballroom armed is the way to solve the problem, but the criminal element will show up regardless.
