Thank you to all who attended, the event had over 175 cars, a fantastic turn out for our first event of the season. I would like however say that this event has always been, and will always be about Quality, not Quantity, while I won’t mention specific cars, there were several cars that were questionable, and I heard this from a variety of owners, not just the PCA who often gets blamed. While this is an all make event, I would also like to reiterate that the focus is on the higher end automobiles. I enjoy having all sorts of cars show up, that is the idea of the event, however I don’t want to see this turn into a tuner event, or like above mentioned Lancaster Cruise nights, or 716 racing. I understand that this will cause blow back, however I need to reset the focus of the event for the season. I am only asking that we use good judgement. With that being said they were a lot of very nice vehicles that came out, The scout harvester, and 63 split window corvette were beautiful. Questions or concerns, or if you would like to yell at me for this post, my email is matt@mwphotography.us. Thank you
I can see his point, though. Just as long as they aren’t telling people not to show up if you don’t have a super high end car. If you can make it there and be respectful to everyone, then no one has the right to tell you not to come.
I stopped by in my 335 and purposely parked away from everything else because I understand that the point of the event is focused on high end cars, and mine isn’t high end. Just a thought.
“Don’t come” and “don’t park in the middle of ferrari lane” are two very different statements. Neither of those statements were made so that leaves the expectations very vague. Also using statements like “High end” also leaves huge holes. Is high end defined as someone who dropped $100k on a car and wipes it with a diaper, or someone who dropped $40k to be way faster than that $100k car?
An “Invite Only” section in the main area would probably be a good middle ground. It doesn’t send the message “don’t show up”, but it also puts the focus on the cars which are intended to be focused on.
