Cars & Coffee @ Eastern Hills Mall (NOT run by Matt)

 lots of great machinery…spent more time chatting and catching up than I did looking at the cars

I am not sure Matt’s screen name on here, however I am hoping he will see this at some point soon…

Matt, whatever fine you get, please let us know - the LOONY’s (Lotus owners Of New York) will gladly contribute…

Needs a new location. We arrived in a group at around 8:45-9:00 and there was literally nowhere to park. There are tons of other places to move the event to. Home Depot on NFB has a vacant Wal-Mart directly across. The lot can hold 1000+. There is the vacant BJ’s in Tonawanda right off of the 290 that can hold 1000+ with McDonalds and a Tops right there for coffee.

@Norb_O, tell your sister thanks for letting me get my olive oil on her shades.

Don’t see why any of those places would want to put up with the hassle.

They need to do what Texas does and charge $5-10 for entry and donate the money.

Lol seriously.

threw em right in the trash on the way out of the parking lot

The places I listed are vacant lots. At Orchard Fresh, the car show took up every spot in the lot, so nobody that wanted to shop could. There was nowhere to park for the Rite Aid either. Charging money for a show that lasts 1.5 hours makes no sense.

It’s not as simple as finding a vacant lot. You need permitting, insurance, security, etc.

Matt already elaborated in this thread last year on what he was doing to keep from having to take things to the next level but for better or worse C&C is just too big now.

There were a lot of cars/trucks that really didn’t belong as well. I think a decent amount of spots could’ve been available if this was minimized. Still a large turnout either way.

To legally do it , yes. Pretty sure he didn’t have any permits to do it at Orchard Fresh. That’s what the cop told us when he asked us to leave. Who would complain if a group showed up at a vacant lot? Everyone is pretty relaxed.

:word:

The trick with c&c was it wasn’t official so it didn’t need those things but at this size it’s a car show and will need all that stuff

we went through all this with mighty, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and bubble tea between 2003-2006

I commented that they need to cull the herd a bit. There were a few examples that stood out.

Gonna need pics now, for sure.

I agree. I parked my bike in the weeds next to some red newer Camaro just to save some “show” spots.

This. Give the money to MADD or whatever.

Or make it $20 and eliminate half of the crowd.

My nephew tried to save me a spot but it got poached by a Jetta right as a turned down the lane.

Sorry for the lack of re-sizing, these are straight off my phone:

A few were from the NOCTURNAL club. A Trailblazer with rims and a few others like it. Just typical DD cars with cheap 20" wheels. Then there were the Subaru cars. The Impreza with the exhaust on it, the WRX with front end damage. Can’t have a C+C without a few Subaru’s with mud flaps on them with mud running up the sides to prove to all how they really drive their car. Nobody cares. I didn’t take pictures of them though.

Wow, that’s quite a turnout! Was planning on bring the truck up there but was out of town and doesn’t look like there was a spot left either.
Odds of this happening again at same location? Sounds like it might need a new venue.
