It looks like the cat is out of the bag, Eastern Hills will be our new home. I planned to write my post here today / tonight with the news, but as was pointed out above word does spread quite quickly online.
I would like to clarify Josh’s post in regards to posting on this forum, and members; NYspeed has been a wonderful support for the event, and as mentioned the members attending are rarely a concern, if ever. This event now has a secomd chance in a new location, we all need to ensure that this can continue. While I won’t single any one out individually, I will say there most certainly is a group of vehicles or rather, a certain crowd of owners that are no longer welcome at the event. The entire premise and philosophy behind the event is a group of mature, respectful car enthusiasts to get together, away from the nonsense and BS that plagues a lot of other local events. As a community I’m positive we can make this event great in the new location, and continue to do something no other local events are doing.
More information will be available soon, see everyone on the 19th.
Josh that was not a dig at NYDPEED either. I just meant that it was public and any yahoo (716, etc) could see it. There is a private WNY Exotics page so I didn’t post it on a public forum, that’s all.
Yea I only posted it bc it was the Cars & Coffee page. If it was on the WNY Exotics I would of left it alone knowing they switched the page to private.
We will be “shit box filtering” yes, as we found out last time, when this doesn’t occur, things get out of hand quickly. This is now a fully insured, and permitted event which means I have control over who can attend, and where they can park. I have no intention in truly exercising this power, as I have hopes there will be no need, however we will have Erie County Sheriffs, as wells as Williamsville police onsite to deal with anything, or anyone that should warrant their attention. They security is hired, and is not there to harass people about window tint, or front plates, please don’t worry about that, our discussions with them have been clear; they are simply there to provide a prescence to deter nonsense, and deal with it should it arrise.
In regards to parking, I plan to have feature cars/manufacturers in a special row for some events in the future, but for right now we will maintain a similar parking concept from previous events; park where you like, with who you like.
Hope this clarifies, it is a necessary change to ensure the events success, and the safety of our attendees.
Huge  man. Great job learning from the mistakes as this grew so much. Sounds like you’ve got a really solid plan in place for this latest event and venue.
Without tracking down owners and telling them to move, maybe a tiny card under a wiper reminding them of the types of cars encouraged to attend would work? “NOKTURNAL” club cars, and $3k hoopties, etc, etc.
Realistically, bro-dude will peer through his cloud of vape smoke at your card under the wiper, tell you to fuck off, toss the card into the wind, and walk away
There will be enough equipment violations on the shit cars you don’t want to attend that a casual mention to APD that they’re a problem will take care of it. The ticket spree will guarantee they won’t show up a second time.
