CC charge back question: returning goods

say you do a chargeback to do a refund … and the company never responds

so after 1 month, you get you your $ back free and clear … does the seller have any right to the item after they ignored you AND your CC company ?

EDIT : item is only good for one part, roughly worth $25, but needs a hour worth of work to be worth $25 again … rest will be thrown away

I’m sure they could take you to court for it if not returned, if they wanted. The only time I’ve had to do a chargeback was when I returned an item and never got my refund. (Moral of the story, don’t buy from Victoria Tire)

was informed by the CC company that once the 28 days is up, if the seller has made NO ATTEMPT to reply to the charge back, all goods are property of the buyer, along with the $

it comes down to one simple fact, the seller had 4 weeks to make arrangements, if they choose to ignore the situation, they loose all rights …

yay
