You have to have the physical to get your license endoursed over from a regular class D to any kind of CDL.
straight pipe it first so i can hear the beautiful music. That’s all I’d do with the thing anyway. :rofl :rofl
in one of the harassing DOT checks Ive gotten stuck in at work they told me I need a DOT physical. Fuck that. Only got asked/told about that once in all the times theyve stopped me.
I think it had to do with crossing state lines because we go to MA. Now I just tell them I dont go out of state.
I dont know what the fuck takes them 45 minutes to do on the computers in the van after theyve checked the lights and kicked the tires (literally) but its annoying as fuck when Im in a rush and get stuck in one of those checks on the northway.
The trucks I drive are 12k and 14k so theyre well under cdl.
^^point taken^^:retardclap…:hug<- love u frank
This guy is my hero.
CDL = No tickets for anything ever again for even the dumb shit.
Lots of BS ITT.
this
get a truck the next class down, the insurance and dmv fees are too high so it wont be worth it, cant just throw “not for hire” on the side and run it, has to be reg as a commercial truck
Just get your class A and drive tractor trailers for my popz on the side. Get your diesel fix, brah!
I have a class b with air brakes and towing endorsement… I cant remember what it cost when I got it But I can tell you it just cost me $175 to renew it…
When I took the road test I just used a large box truck from ryder…
The cost of the license isn’t what makes this difficult. It’s the insurance you need on the vehicles sometimes. Our insurance for the wrecker isn’t bad, but it’s not something I like paying right out of pocket for. It’s why we haul so many junk cars in the summer time, really helps to offset the costs.
And yes, tons of BS ITT for sure, but good info too.
Ins on the truck was $160 a mo.
What’s your liability coverage on that? Ours is for 5 million and costs a bit more than $160 a month :ahh
fucking nowhere near that. lol wasn’t using it for like legit towing. just like a bigger toy hauler
I used to have to deal with DOT at my old job (was driving a 26’ box truck) and fucking HATED it. They hastle you over some of the most bullshit things it’s insane. If they spent last time hassling good drivers over a cab light out and focused on 60% of the population who doesn’t seem to know how to drive safely we’d be great. I’m glad I drive smaller commercial vehicles now and get to cruise right by the DOT checkpoints.
I drive a 17 or 18’ box truck and they get me for dumb shit too.
Like a fire extinguisher not being there. If that piece of shit starts burning Im not going to grab a fire extinguisher and attempt to put it out. Its not my truck and I dont give a fuck about it. If its burning Im bailing out and running far away from it.
I did end up getting one the last time I went to Home Depot for work supplies though.
Still need a battery cover to shut them up though.
Fuckin’ bunch of bullshit. This is why truckers still use CB radios, no one wants to get caught up in a DOT stop. You almost never make it out of a stop without some sort of citation/ticket and it takes up valuable time.
the thing is that they dont even give out tickets most of the time even when there are ‘issues’ so its basically a huge waste of time and tax payer money. Whats the point?
I still would like to know why it takes so long to print out a form in the van. I think they go in the van, look at porn and rub one out before printing the form.
Ask my father if they give out tickets or not. LOL
