if its for an obd1 car i would get rid of it
its strictly emissions only item and is not needed with a performance build in mind
most older cars charcoal canister is ruined due to people over filling their gas tanks for the past 15-20 years anyways

Keep in mind if you get an inspector that gives a crap it will not pass the visual emissions check for inspection.

Inncorrect. 1984-1995 has visual inspection of emissions componets, You just dont plug in.
im an inspector so i should have no problem gettin it inspected
ok i have a question, if your mil light is on dosent that automatically put u in open loop and performance is affected because ur goin off preset maps and not actual readings?
depends on what the mil is for
Yea but if a mil is thrown its because a monitor cant be completed for a certian system and goes to open loop…
