Charlie Kirk Shot

what the literal fuck man

Video look bad. Neck shot. Based on the sound and the direction everyone turned I’m guessing rifle.

This is his shooter. He keeps repeating, “I have the right to remain silent”.

Video below:

I’m so upset about this. Charlie is a good man. I’ve been following him for a long time. my kids too.

I also worry this will escalate things pretty extremely… and I am not opposed to that.

Actually kinda speechless at the moment.

I can’t believe it, extremely sad, based on the videos it doesn’t look good that’s for sure.

Trump just posted on Truth Social that Charlie Kirk has died. I hope the retribution on this is swift and brutal. One side can’t keep getting away with this (shooting at Trump twice and now this) without paying a steep price.

This is literally the most upset I’ve ever been to see someone die. I didn’t know him. I’ve lost both my parents.

Absolutely gutted by this. There is nobody even close to filling Charlie’s shoes. He was the best debater ever, probably even better than Jordan Peterson.

There is only one solution to this incident. Everyone keeps talking and they keep shooting.

Everyone is posting that violence is the last resort of the incompetent.

Is Charlie Kirk the white man’s MLK?

Definitely gutted over this. I used to get stuck in loops watching his videos. Such a great guy and a massive movement he created.

Some page posted the unedited close up video and it just played and I saw it as I scrolled Facebook. Man that’s something I wish I could unsee. It’ll haunt me forever.

Between this video and the blonde girl on the bus, I think I’ve had enough internet for this year.

gents, sorry to say it, but i think we can expect a long drawn out campaign of demoralization in both of our countries while they run the same playbook used to demoralize, divide and conquer many other societies before us.

I’m in the fight but I really could go without the whole being assassinated thing.

The only thing i found helpful from folks today was this:

Ephesians 6:11-17

The Armor of God

**11 **Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. **13 **Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. **14 **Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, **15 **and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. **16 **In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. **17 **Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

I’m not so sure. My “feed” is filled with people who I never knew had a political opinion coming out and saying fuck anyone who celebrates this. Even people on the left in shock and tearful. Show a leftist (likely with a high probability of mental health issues) the video of Charlie’s neck blowing up and I think the demoralization trends in their direction. Those on the right now are more certain than ever that their morals are correct.

X posts that stood out this morning:

I’ll temper my first attempt at responding by just saying sometimes the only answer to violence is violence. When people are shooting at your leaders just saying over and over, “violence is never the answer” probably isn’t going to stop them.

And I don’t believe for a minute the left saying they’re disgusted by this will last. In a week or two they’ll be right back to calling us nazi’s, Hitler, fascists and saying how we’re “the end of democracy” and “we must be be stopped”. Their rhetoric will ratchet right back up knowing full well how the world stopped Hitler, and it certainly wasn’t at the voting booth.

But it won’t be affective. There is no near-universal imposition on society (famine, poverty, etc) where violence can be viewed by the majority as the answer. Society is so comfortable that an act like this is counter productive to the actors cause.

At some point you have to make the other side afraid enough that they lower the temperature of their rhetoric because they’re starting to face some incoming fire, or this will just continue.I guarantee you that by October they will be right back to calling us “the end of democracy” and “a threat to democracy”. Of course when you use rhetoric like that eventually lunatics act with violence.

Also, man I’m getting tired of the “this had to be a pro, it was 200 yards”. I’m FAR from a pro. Last time we went to the range I fired my buddy’s .270 Winchester hunting rifle. Put 3 rounds in a group at 200 yards you could cover with my fist despite never touching that gun before. I’m not bragging because at 200 my grouping SHOULD be tighter than that, but again, not a pro and I don’t practice nearly enough. 200 yards with a scoped bolt action rifle, lying prone on a roof firing at a stationary target does not require a pro. Anyone that’s moderately proficient could make that shot. Besides that, I can pretty much guarantee he wasn’t aiming for the neck. Either chest and he went high, or head and he went low.

^That guy… not a pro.

done really well

I struggled wanting to take a closer look but there is a closer camera angle that I watched which appears Charlie may have been wearing a plate of some sort. Assuming this video wasn’t edited, it appeared to be a center mass hit and the bullet either ricocheted or fragmented and went up into his neck. I find it hard to believe it would full on ricochet upwards given the downward trajectory of the shot but I can absolutely believe it fragmented. It would depend on what type of plate he was wearing.

cried over this dude 3 separate times yesterday.

very grateful for his work and the conversations it allowed me to have with my sons, even about his death this week.

it reminded me of covid when my sons questioned why we seemed to suffer no consequences when we completely ignored the hysteria around masks, vaccines, social distancing etc for years.

these are lessons you cant just teach with words. you have to live through state-fraud to understand.

I’ve also had the opportunity to express in professional conversation my admiration for Charlie’s work and the unfortaunate situation we’re about to observe where we will get the same multi-decade fraud that we had over jfk, rfk, 9/11 etc just to try and demoralize us even more.

but it won’t work. Charlie was better than they are. his work will be more effective.

i look forward to honoring him through some work of my own.
