Uggh. Seriously the Pre is exactly what I want. Small, vertical slider with a real keyboard, 3.5mm headphone jack, OS that’s better than iphone or winmo, 320x480 screen. OMG IT EVEN HAS AN APP STORE!!! :spunk: :spunk: :spunk: I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t tempted to switch to sprint for it.
it registers the touch and then the click is to confirm basically… just like the iphone it has auto correcting dictionary so even if you bastardize a word it generally makes it work. that and suretype fucking rules for when you’re driving.
personally i didn’t like the click at first but now i don’t think i would like it without it. now that i have a stable os (103), this phone is solid as fuck IMO.
fry you can borrow my storm for the day if you want to answer all my emails :gotme:
If you are up for switching carriers, why not look into the G2? Its open platform, full keyboard, etc. Its on Tmobile but if Spring is an option, TMo should be too.
hey if your considering the omnia there is a phone very similar to it under smart phones on vzw’s website called the fuze that also has a full keyboard that slides out its kind of cool and has all of the windows mo options and wifi too i was thinking about getting it myself.
Yeah that’s a nice looking phone. It’s called a touch pro. It’s a fuze on AT&T. I’ve got basically the same thing now, the Samsung i760. The only difference is the Samsung doesn’t have that gay laggy touchflo interface. The only reason I don’t want to keep my i760 is:
I’ve had it for a year and want a new toy.
Side-sliders are annoying because you have to wait for the screen to flip. When I want to type, I want to type NOW.
I’m sick of it being so big compared to what’s on the market now.
It’s a good phone. Some reviews have criticized it for being a little slow, but HTC has a pretty good following. Go play with it and if you like it then rock on.
The next gen HTC is on its way to Verizon though. The touch Diamond. Should be moar better in every way, except no keyboard. But that lets it be small and thin, so it’s give and take.
I could also just suck it up and keep my phone until it comes out. It’s not like I’m hurting by using my i760. I just started playing with syncing quicken from my desktop with spb finance on my phone. The scheduled transactions aren’t syncing though. I could just sync them from quicken to outlook but that’s kind of gay. I better not find another good reason to stick with winmo…
