i dont hate them, i hate the people who dont know/cant decide quick where to go. i almost got into a accident in lathem circle today when some dumb bitch came from rt7 and flew right into my lane missing my car by 2 inches. Again, i go upto exit 12 now and again to have some fun, i dont hate them just people. and the random turkey on rt9 in CP today.
those traffic circles are really useful… when there arent a bunch of idiots on the road. The one they put on krumkill rd/school house helps alot. The ones off exit 12… are a little bit much having them be that close. There are like 5 in a row if you go from Rt. 9 west towards balston spa. thats a little much
If the members of this forum would rather sit at a red light instead of setting personal lateral g records through an intersection, then I’ve lost all hope in car enthusiasts today.
The only real gripe I have with round abouts in the Colonie area is this - The concept of one is to make traffic flow better… but how can that happen when you exit the circle and hit a red light in less than ten feet? :wtf Is it just me or has anyone else seen rush hour traffic come to a dead stop in this engineering mistake?

i don’t mind traffic circles so long as the signs are big enough to read so you know what lane goes where (mostly for the people who dont know the area) etc… What i don’t like is people drifting around the fucking things at mid day when there’s traffic… i don’t care about people drifting even during the day to be honest LOL but when im on the circle and someone decides to act like their auditioning for Tokyo drift part II i start dialing the insurance company LOL. latham circle is a death trap… ive seen many accidents there mostly because its setup diffrently then the ones off exit 12, dont get me wrong i love the latham echo when ya go under the thing :ninja, but going around it is more annoying then going around all the ones off exit 12. for the most part i think those new ones are pretty decent, and you guys are right there should be a friggin circle at latham farms… that 4 way stop is a nightmare. how about the intersection of 155 and 9 right there near firestone… id like them to put a circle there to help out the 5pm commute, its like from 3pm to 6pm that intersection just sucks… between people gettin out of work and the school letting out and then everyone has to go the same way home… its more of a nightmare then the latham farms 4 way lol
Since I have already been quoted in this thread I am going give everyone a heads up when the 240 is running agian I won the exit 12 circles. I plan to construct a little movie for the shift 518 boys of drifting. I am even going start at a landmark very close to the circles that should make it intersting. Any the circles started out as WTF then you just learn to love them just like curvy exit ramps. the only downside is when you want to go to Dunkin Doughnuts and it is on the over side of the street so you have to drive threw two circles to get to the other side. Until then or is any forum members want to have soem fun I will leave you with some aerial views my uncle from the NYS Dept of transportation has taken for me
I know some other member on the board that actually know about a place up in glens falls which drifts but that member doesnt’ really share alot they do.

glens falls mountain rd…it is sick…not just for drifting, cause i don’t have a rear wheel drive. just to take any car that handles well on it is fuckin FUN!!!
