City of Buffalo Street Parking

so the tow company pays for the damage, correct?

Hahaha, that’s cute.

Tow companies won’t pay for shit. I’d love to see someone try.

LOL. No.

I watched a few months ago as a car got repo’d from my apartment complex. 4x4 TB. Couldnt get to the front so they jacked up the rear and just dragged it out the gate and down the road. Sparks were flying and you could just hear the damage…

That’s kinda fucked up…

^ So don’t park where you’re going to get towed.

parked on a side street in DT b-lo today for 15 minutes and got a ticket.:picard:

No clear signage regarding not parking there…thoughts?

Where was it? what was the ticket for?

You people need to realize, Buffalo is a poor ass city, they need to get their money some how.

Ok got off the phone today and found out that any car on a city street in the same spot for more than 72 hours can be towed. They said its very common in the winter since you can tell by cars with snow on them if they have not been moved. I want to fight it but I think that its something like parking on a side street in some of the suburbs in the winter when you can get a ticket even tho its not posted.

Also, I need to call tomorrow and find out how much its going to cost to get out of impound. I was trying to sell the car for $600 so if its more than $300 I might just tell them to keep it and thank them for brushing it off and digging it out. They will be in for a suprise when they try to auction off a car that has a salvaged title. Lol

Wow, what a waste. And so was this thread.

Somebody else doing something stupid on the streets of Buffalo. Lets test Buffalo, and see if they’ll give me a ticket for not looking into a law. If some Sunfire was parked even remotely close to my house for over 2 days, not allowing for snow to be plowed away, I’d call up and have it towed.

:meh2:Don’t most people who have jobs take their car with them to work? it makes the commute a lot quicker…

Some people have more than one car smart guy. Especially when they live in Buffalo and cant use there regular car in the winter.

While I agree with you… Buffalo has some of the shittest plow service EVER.
They tell you not to park on the streets from 1-7am so they can plow…yet the shoulder of the road is covered in snow for the longest time.

On Ashland today, they had the perfect opportunity to come by and plow the left side of the road, it was 100% clear. Of coursed they slacked… Ashland has THE WORST Plowing. And way too many females parking on the street.

Wow that is unbelievable.

tow companies do not give a fuck about the autos they tow. When my bike got impounded I had a police report written up and I got a copy that said there was NO visible damage anywhere on the bike… just incase…

I remember a story on nasioc or clubwrx…where a guy had his wrx towed on 2 wheels, destroying the center dif, and I think he got it all payed for

Every car they auction off comes with no title, and is considered salvage.

I am calling some scrap yards today and seeing how much my car is worth to them for metal and parts. I figure the city wants 190 dollars to get my car out. I might just say fuck it and keep it depending on how much I am getting if I were to donate it or scrap it.

Anyone know if its possible to go and get stuff out of my car from the scrap yard?

Fixed

Sucks man. Tell them you have meds in the car, grab a back pack and clean out all your personal stuff along with the cars cd player. Also take a crap in the back seat, whip your ass with the seat belt, driver seat belt.

If they say anything tell them, “Hey the car sat there for a week because it was a shitty car”… muhahahahaha
