Its not even worth paying to get it out.
I just want my sub box out of the trunk which is disconnected so I can just grab and go and some stuff out of the glove box and center console. I am going to call and see if they let me come get stuff.
wasn’t talking about paying to get it out…
I’m saying, ask for the keys, to grab your “meds”
start car
rev car
blow through chain link fence
???
profit
Well they know who he is then. Best bet would be to sneak in there after they close and demo derby the place. If they ask questions, say you gave the keys away on craiglist with the cars location in an impound lot. You left the keys on your porch no questions asked, they were gone when you got home from work. Not my car I gave it away. hahahah
Move. I’ve never lived anywhere without a driveway. I couldnt imagine that.
EDIT: just read the second page
190$ is well worth it for any car thats currently inspected abnd was on the road.
Which motor was in it? 2.4? auto? 2door? you could probably sell it for atleast 500
if his name is on the title its his ass. see dawn’s thread.
Anyone know scrap yards who take cars?
I am trying to find some to see how much they would pay me if I get it out and bring it to them?
I also am going to call the Buffalo parking office again and asking how the hell to get my stuff out of it and such.
I called Skyway and the one on William Street and the most I found is $125
I heard this happened to someone else on here so I wanted to add that the place you park the car is “estimated.” Moving it between your house and your neighbors house doesn’t count as moving a vehicle and it will be towed as abandoned.
This happened to my boyfriend last week on Linden. He talked to the city attorney to argue that it was moved and they basically said “it’s an estimated location so I’d suggest you move to down the block or to another street.” He filed a police report on Friday because they had no record of it being towed and then got a letter on Monday after work saying that it was in the impound.
Almost $300 later his car is back.
I thought it was gone!
I finally got back and got everything squared away. The downtown parking bureau is really helpful. The import partime workers are the biggest bunch of low lifes with no intrest in their job and kept giving me a different answer. The big thing they used they said is in the winter, if its not brushed off or shoveled out, they know.
I went downtown this morning and got the bill: $465 for towing and storage and a $35 dollar ticket which was $55 becuase I did not pay it in 8 days.
They told me to take the paperwork to the impound and I can surrender the vehicle. I went to the impound and had the title and everything and told them I just wanted the plates for the DMV so I can remove the car. THe old guy that is always there told me that I needed to pay the ticket and walked away from me. I took out my phone, paid it online and told him now what?
He gave me a form that says I surrendered the vehicle and its going to auction. Aparently, if I want the actual plates back or anything out of it I need to pay the $465. I guess once the vehicle goes to auction, they will destroy the plates and at that point I get a letter. The lady told me from city hall said to call them tomorrow and ask for it and if I can pick it up.
My next idea is to go to the impound tomorrow morning and buy the car back. Haha.
I just need to find info on this auction.
break in and take them.Im sure its not hard
I thought I told you!! The impound is a scary effing place too. EEP!
what a load of bullshit.
the government should not be allowed to GRIME people like this lol
I’m pretty sure the auction is on Wednesdays.
it would be the most funny thing ever if you won the car at auction for less than the fine… I bet they’ll be pissed.
Ya no word if it went to auction.
The parking office said to call today and find out if it went to auction because the only form I need now is the official one saying the plates were destroyed.
If it hasn’t been auctioned, I am going to show up next Wednesday in the morning and try to buy it back. Lol. Fine is $465 for parking and storage. There is no way they are getting anywhere near that for that car.
