I agree with some parts of your argument but the way it’s presented makes you look as bad/worse than the offenders. The country people at my cabin either respect city people, or are assholes to them, trying to pick fights over stupid shit at the bar and to rip them off on stuff they think they’d be naive about, and acting like they have something to prove because you’re from the city. The first group gets our respect, and many of them are good friends with us. The second gets “cursed at in public stores”, ridiculed mercilessly, and usually loses their girl to one of us at the bar later on.
If you’re coming on here and bitching about CITY PEOPLE in general, i bet you’re probably an asshole to them.
once I seen how they acted, yes I am now an asshole to them, I don’t go into the city much but when I do these are the type of people I run into.
“I hate cities. To me they are just large containers for the desperate. Out in the rural areas one can be poor, but still live with integrity and self respect.”
KuntryQuestTSI, do you have a southern accent? Even though you’re from WNY I bet you do.
“Ya’ll city boys must be more confused than a cow on astroturf to be coming over here asking to make yourselves at home on my land after you called the fire department on me when I had mah brush fire last week.”
edit: To add something legitimate to this thread, consider moving west. A lot of California is relaxed and the people aren’t assholes. The midwest is full of peace, tranquility and nonsensical motorsports, such as tractor pulling and other various destruction derby type events with gigantic field equipment.
I plan on moving to NC soon, notice me selling a bunch of stuff.
I dont think I have an accent, altho I do use ya’ll and reckon more than usual.
now that I’m In parts most of the time I try to use ( quoted from fry ) “gooder” english
and I didnt judge the people intill I seen how rude and ignorent they where
Pretty certain saying that is against the redneck rulebook.
Or maybe you are just so derailed from society and unfamiliar with modern slang that the term “don’t hate” finally found it’s way to your neck of the woods ( literally )?
