I really like the look of these things
I drove one a few weeks ago. I pretty much had the complete opposite reaction to it. I thought it was dull and slow.
I love the look style and premise of these but they really need more power.
The STi version should be sweet.
Still havent driven one yet but ill still say its hard to find a better buy on paper…
the 2500lb weight is really appealing to me… coming from the guy that drives a A8L
It certainly seems like the best buy for the money on paper, but that’s about all I can add. I have never driven one.
Can’t wait for the LS swaps.
Test drove one, I loved it.
About as quick as my Miata but more stable in corners. I’d still pick an NC over this though.
Fun to drive , very fun. Slow though. I still want one though.
I think clarkson picked it because it’s a fresh simple formula of less is more in a world of super heavy + lots of power. The statement is that we need more like this.
Put this thing around watkins glen and 99% of nyspeed would find that power is not the weak area.

Unfortunately a majority of average consumers do not care about that . They want to mash the gas from the light and be able to beat the fggt in the lane next to them as their 2lane road merges into one. They don’t say “hey wait until we get onto the thruway and I’ll pass you on the onramp !”

It’s a cool car they just need to release the turbo model
sales numbers say people are content with the overall package. I’m sure the coming turbo version will cost a bunch more and have more power.
Like I said, the Miata guys LOVE this car. Because its just as nimble and quick as our cars. It’s more loaded than the Miata though, which is something I love about my car, no frills.
Car is cool, but I can’t wait until Top Gear comes back.
Have to make my way over to west herr and take one for a ride, I can say that sales on the Genesis Coupe have increased from this car. People come over from driving that and i would say about 50% buy the Genesis. From what customers say the Genesis is a much better decision for a DD (bigger, ride quality, road noise, power, warranty, features, etc) but the fr-s is more miata (track toy, weekend car) type of vehicle.

those people should be getting V6 mustangs > genesis.
