The onus of classifieds should be upon the buyer to do her research. If she doesn’t, then we could just as easily trick them to thinking something is not a good deal, to benefit ourselves. To suggest that sellers should be punished is ridiculous, they take no action in the process. Its not like she is stealing, or forcing you to buy.
If anything, the buyer will learn a good lesson from being ripped off and that is a good way to learn (trial and error), IMO.
At the end of the day the onus will always be on the buyer (except in cases of outright deception on the part of the seller).
Buyers need to do their research. ESPECIALLY with used parts.
HOWEVER
This is still a community board and nobody here likes to see people getting burned.
There is no excuse and no room on these boards for running shady operations and/or ripping people off.
People who do will be weeded out and exposed for the scum that they are.
