Took out my a/c system today (condenser, compressor, lines).
And cleaned up between the rad and condenser while I was at it.
There’s probablly like 50lb of dirt there. Now my car will have mad tyte
jdm drifting weight balance yo.
Danger…

you dirty slut!
how did you let all of those leaves build up in there!!
shame on you
Ehh… Since I’m stupid and all, I’ll just ask. If you don’t have A/C (compressor, condenser, etc… all removed) could crap still gather behind the radiator?
thats not 50 pounds
damn lanky ass brownies
Get leaves stuck in the clutch fan?
I doubt it dude…
Gonad looks like there is some peeling paint in that pile of leaves?
:hsugh:
Well 50lb if you count the massive dump I had to take while I was
removin the a/c system. All that curry has to go somewhere…
Nah, duct tape. My paint don’t peel that way.
- Go to your car
- Open the hood
- Look at where the radiator is and where the a/c condenser is.
- ???
- Profit
Is your condensor still good by any chance cause I need one.
no you don’t
fuck all that shit
all of the ac crap is atleast 50 lbs… atleast.
Looks to be in good shape. 155KMs on it.
$10 and it’s yours. I’d give it to you for free, but Papa needs a brand new bag!
I took that shit out a long time ago. My AC went so I took it out, my cruise control went so I took that out, my power stearing went so I took that out (but I put it back in after 4 month’s) I couldn’t take it anymore and my arms started to look like Popyes arms, my forearms were thicker then my bicepts  .
^^^^
 I told ya that would happen John! It’s not worth the very little gain you get for the agravation of having no power steering.
I’ll be removing my a/c crap as soon as the weather is a bit nicer out. It’s utterly amazing how much crap can collect in between there. I wonder what I’ll find.
Now this is a little off topic but since we are talking a/c stuff I have one quick question. Does the a/c belt attach to anything else, like the power steering pump, or is just for the a/c? I only ask because I want to know if I will have to buy a new belt for 240’s that did’nt come a/c.
Thanks guys and take care.
Easy 8)
^^ Hey Bruce, Im not sure about a KA24DE but I know the KA24E has a seperate belt for the AC unit.
The A/C has the idler pully, which only applies tension to the blet driving the A/C, so IMO it’s safe to say that no belt is needed.
The Water Pump/Clutch Fan and P/S pump are sharing a belt. The Alternator is on it’s own belt
Look in the FSM. AC compressor has its own belt. Remove the belt and
the A/C is gone.
BTW, All the A/C parts (plus the AIV box) totaled 31lb. The AIV box was
about 5lb so I’m guessing all the A/C pieces combine to 25lb or so.
that picture is now my desktop wallpaper
Is getting the a/c working in the 240s again even worth the trouble?
Nope.
If you can’t stand the heat, don’t drive your car in the summer. :squint:
