Cluster Problem

So Im having a wiring problem, it has to do with the cluster. The problem is the speedometer isn’t reading speed, its reading what the tach is. So when you rev the car, it goes from zero to whatever. So I have no idea what is causing this? Loose connection? short? I don’t know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and its a HUD cluster for a SOHC 2.4 for a 89 Nissan 240sx 5 speed (not sure if that matters at all)

your digital readout goes up as you rev? is that what you’re saying?

i’m getting the same problem. sometimes my speedo won’t work and when it does its way off.
